Dr. Cynthia Geneva, OD
Dr. Geneva has been a part of the Grand Haven community since 2007: coaching swimming, attending and volunteering at church, and visiting her future husband in between classes at Grand Valley. She earned her doctorate at the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University in 2014 and went on to complete a residency in Pediatrics and Binocular Vision at the Michigan College of Optometry. For over a decade she has practiced in Grand Rapids and is excited to work locally again. Dr. Geneva was honored as the Michigan Optometric Association Young Optometrist of the year in 2024. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a high distinction she earned in 2015. She is President of the Michigan Foundation for Vision Awareness and a member of the American Optometric Association and Michigan Optometric Association. Dr. Geneva’s heart is for pediatric eye health care, wanting all children to feel comfortable coming to the eye doctor and to understand the exam and any treatment (glasses, etc). She is passionate about providing patient’s education on ocular conditions so that you can know how to prevent eye health concerns and what treatments are available for all ocular conditions. When she’s not in the office, she enjoys caring for her 2 kids (daughter and son), walking her golden retriever, painting, and gardening.
